wodigurong
Install and join
- Install Valheim on Steam. Sign in to Steam, keep it open and close Valheim.
- Download Wodigurong installer 1.0.2 and open it once. A small "Please wait while Windows configures Wodigurong" box appears for a few seconds and then closes. That is the whole install: there is no finish screen and no new desktop icon.
- Press the Windows key, type Wodigurong, and open the Start menu entry. Do not use the old Wodigurong icon on your desktop; that launcher is retired and only shows a "410 Gone" error. Delete that old icon. Enter the server password from thas when asked. If prompted, sign in to Steam and click Retry. The launcher installs the mods and starts the game.
- Select your character, click Join Game, and search for wodigurong.
- Join and enter the same server password.
Next time, open Wodigurong from the Start menu. Ordinary mod and configuration updates happen automatically when you reopen it. Download another installer only for a launcher update.
The native launcher is unsigned; no Windows-verified publisher identity is claimed. If Defender blocks it, stop and tell thas. Do not restore a quarantined old EXE or change protection settings.
Can't find the server? Connect directly to 108.93.145.131:2456. If Windows blocks the download, send thas the warning.
Already have Wodigurong? Get launcher 1.0.2 (20 September 2026)
Optional, but worth two minutes. When something goes wrong, launcher 1.0.2 tells you what happened and how to fix it, with a Retry button, instead of asking you to pick a folder. Your old launcher keeps working if you skip this.
- Close Valheim and Wodigurong.
- Download the installer from step 2 above and open it. It updates the launcher in place.
- Open Wodigurong from the Start menu as usual. Your password, mods, settings, blueprints, worlds and characters are untouched.
When Valheim gets a patch
Wodigurong starts the game directly, so Steam often leaves a Valheim update sitting in its queue. After any Valheim patch:
- Open Steam > Library > Valheim and press the blue Update button. Wait for it to finish, then close Valheim.
- If you switched Valheim to the default_old ("Previous stable") beta while waiting for the mods, switch it back: in Steam, right-click Valheim > Properties > Betas, set Beta Participation to None, and let Steam finish the update.
- Open Wodigurong from the Start menu. It downloads the current pack by itself. No new installer.
If the launcher says Valheim is *newer* than the modpack, there is nothing to fix on your PC: the game patched before the mods caught up. Ping thas.
The current pack, 20261016.1, is for Valheim 1.0.20 (16 October 2026).
Valheim updated trophy drops and fixed old item cheat flags. Open Steam > Library > Valheim, press Update, and let it finish. Then open Wodigurong as usual. No new installer.
New in 20260930.3 - Animal Handling works from further away:
- Taming: your Animal Handling skill now speeds up taming, and you get Animal Handling XP for it, from up to 100 m away (was 30 m). The animal still has to be fed and calm.
- Breeding XP: you get it when an animal within 100 m of you gets pregnant or gives birth (was 30 m).
- Slaughter XP and extra loot: killing one of your tamed animals gives the XP and the bonus loot from up to 100 m away (was 20 m).
- With two players at the base, taming counts for whoever's game is running the animals (usually whoever got there first).
New in 20260930.2 - less clutter on screen:
- The column of boss-power icons at the bottom left is gone, including the vanilla Forsaken-power slot. Your powers still work exactly as before; only the icons are hidden. To see which stages you have, read a boss's trophy stone or the compendium.
- Power icons no longer sit in the status bar either.
- Want the column back just for you? Press F1, find Wodigurong ProgressivePowers Stages, and switch HidePowerHud off.
New in 20260930.1 - thrown spears come back:
- A thrown spear you haven't picked up comes back to your feet 30 seconds after you threw it, and you pick it up automatically. If your hands are empty it goes straight back into your hand.
- A spear that vanishes in mid-air (it happens now and then on a long throw) drops at your feet straight away instead of being lost.
- If your inventory is full, the spear waits on the ground at your feet. If someone else picks it up first, nothing happens.
New in 20260929.3 - faster Blocking and Dodge, Forging and ship impact resistance switched on:
- A perfect parry gives 5 times the Blocking XP of a normal block (it was about 3 times).
- Dodge XP comes 10 times as fast.
- Forging is on. It trains when you craft or upgrade gear and when you refine with an idol, and at higher levels makes refining safer and your gear better (masterwork at 75, lightweight at 90). See the [skill calculator](#skill-calculator-what-each-level-gives-you) for every level.
- Ship impact resistance is on: from Voyager 75, the ship you're aboard takes no damage from bumping into things.
New in 20260929.2 - boss powers are more generous, and the scythe replants:
- Hold every boss power at once. Use each boss's trophy stone to add its power; using the stone of a power you already hold takes it off again.
- Each stage switches on by itself as soon as you have its kills, even while an earlier stage is still locked. One Elder kill plus one Bonemass kill now gives the Elder power's health regen and +30% pickaxe damage; its chopping bonus waits for a second Elder kill. See [Boss powers](#boss-powers-how-to-unlock-each-stage) for every power's requirements.
- A message tells you when a boss kill unlocks a stage, for example "The Elder stage 3 unlocked: Pickaxe damage +30%".
- Scythe harvests replant. With auto-replant on (F11), crops you cut with the scythe are replanted just like hand-picked ones: one seed each, nothing replanted without the seed, and the harvest is unchanged.
New in 20260929.1 - the bigger crafting menu is back:
- AAA Crafting returns. Recipes show as a grid of icons with a search box above them (type
!copperto find everything that needs copper), filter buttons (weapons, armor, food, ammo, tools, materials and more) and favourites (click a recipe's star; press F with the mouse over the recipe list to show only favourites). The ? button replays a short tour. - Craft as many as you want in one go: type a number in the box above Craft (or use + and -; hold Shift for steps of 10), then press Craft or Enter. Items come out one at a time at the normal speed. The batch keeps making the recipe you started it on even if you click other recipes while you wait, and it stops by itself when you run out of materials. Cancel stops it.
- Track a recipe: hover a recipe icon and click the + to keep its shopping list on screen; Ctrl-click removes it. Left Shift + Page Up hides or shows the list.
- Because of the new menu, holding Shift for 5 at once no longer works, and the
sortcraftconsole command does nothing. Use the amount box and the filters instead.
New in 20260926.1 - hens feed better, eggs behave, and most mods moved up to their newest build:
- Hungry tamed hens now find food up to 14 m away, and the feeder can be up to 8 m above or below them (a raised feeder or coop floor works). They no longer have to walk to the food themselves.
- Chicken eggs only get auto-stored into a chest within 6 m. Everything else you drop still gets picked up from up to 64 m away, same as before. If you want an egg to sit and hatch instead of getting swept into storage, keep it more than 6 m from any egg-holding chest.
- Most of the pack moved up to the newest build from its author: BepInEx, Jotunn, AzuCraftyBoxes, OdinsFoodBarrels, CraftyCartsRemake, QuickTeleport, ImpactfulSkills, PlanBuild, ZenCombat/Zen.ModLib, RecyclePlus, PlantEasily/PlantEverything, Free Build Cam and a few smaller ones. Nothing you do changes; the launcher picks it all up the next time you open Wodigurong.
Valheim 1.0.14 added a few new control options. Leave them like this so they don't fight the mods:
- Alternate Dodge: leave it unbound. Left Alt already dodges.
- Toggle block (accessibility): leave it off. Block + jump only dodges while you hold block.
- New hotbar keys: don't put any of them on Z, X, C, 9 or 0. Those are your quick slots.
Riding
Hold W to move. A/D steer, even while stopped; tap S to turn around. Hold Shift to sprint and press Space to jump. When you stop, your mount keeps facing the same way while you look around. Hold E to get off.
Looking at an unmounted tame, press Left Shift + Y to tell it to stay; press it again to release it. Getting on releases it too. Getting off does not tell it to stay, so it can still follow and pull a cart.
Current settings at a glance
Updated 16 October 2026. Client pack: 20261016.1 (Valheim 1.0.20). Install the native launcher once, then close Valheim and reopen Wodigurong to get the latest client settings. The door and processor settings remain unchanged on the server.
| Feature | Current behavior |
|---|---|
| Doors | Open manually. Close after everyone stays at least 8 m away for 4 seconds. Returning within 8 m resets the countdown. |
| Automatic processing | Kilns, smelters and blast furnaces pull inputs from closed chests (and parked carts) within 4 m, even while you stand beside them. One of each input stays in the chest. |
| SmarterContainers | Ctrl-click routes carried items to matching chests within 30 m of your character. |
| Automatic eating | Food in dedicated food slots refreshes at 10% remaining duration. After an automatic bite, the next automatic bite waits a random 30-60 seconds, including filling empty food buffs. Manual eating is unaffected. |
| Animal feeding | Hungry tamed animals eat from a chest or food barrel within 14 m, up to 8 m above or below them, without walking to it. Feeding still only happens when the animal could breed. |
| Chicken eggs | Auto-stored into a chest only within 6 m. Every other dropped item still uses AutoStore's normal 64 m. |
| Map discoveries | Discoveries go to cartography tables. Use Read map at a table to add the recorded pins to your personal map. They do not appear on your map immediately while exploring. |
| Dropped-item storage | AutoStore still requires every player to be at least 4 m from the dropped item. Its matching-chest search reaches 64 m (chicken eggs are the one exception, above). |

What's included
| Mod | What it does here |
|---|---|
| NoVikingLeftBehind | Dedicated equipment, food, ammo and quick slots, plus two extra storage slots. Repair at stations automatically, enjoy longer-lasting fires and torches, and respawn with at least 10 minutes of Rested. Food in the dedicated food slots is eaten automatically when 10% of its duration remains. Each automatic bite starts a random 30-60 second wait before another automatic bite, including filling an empty buff. Manual eating is unaffected. |
| AzuCraftyBoxes | Crafting, building, smelters, kilns, fires, ovens and PlanBuild plans use materials from chests, barrels and parked carts within 50 m, leaving one of each item behind. |
| AAA Crafting | A bigger crafting menu: recipe grid, search box, filters, favourites, a recipe tracker and an amount box to craft several items in a row. |
| QuickTeleport | Much shorter loading screens for portals and for dungeon doors. It still waits until the place you are going has loaded before it lets you move, so you arrive on solid ground. |
| AzuAreaRepair | One hammer repair fixes every damaged piece within 15 m, closest first, instead of one piece per click. |
| ComfortTweaks | Comfort counts furniture within 30 m instead of 10 m and no longer needs a roof. An on-screen list (press F4) shows what is giving you comfort and what is still missing. Rested time is kept when you log out. Maypole, Yule tree and Jack-o-turnip are buildable. |
| OdinsFoodBarrels | Food barrels and baskets: storage that holds one kind of food or seed each (12 stacks). Dropped food of the same kind is put away into a barrel that already holds it. |
| CraftyCarts | Six carts that are also crafting stations (workbench, forge, cauldron, stonecutter, artisan table, black forge), each with 40 slots of storage. Each costs its normal materials plus 10 bronze nails. Only players can pull them. |
| TameRidingOverhaul | Easier riding: A/D steer, W moves, S turns around, Shift sprints, Space jumps, and Left Shift + Y tells a tame to stay. |
| BeastsOfBurden | A tamed boar, wolf, lox, hen, asksvin or moose that is following you can be hitched to a normal cart and pull it. |
| Aura | Weak monsters leave you alone once your armor makes their hits tiny. Blobs never attack at all. |
| PlanBuild | Save and share blueprints, place ghost plans and supply materials to build them. Blueprint reach and Plan Totem radius are 50 m. |
| PlantEverything | Plant berry bushes, mushrooms, flowers, trees and decorative flora. Supported plants can grow in any biome; crops still need suitable ground and space. |
| PlantEasily | Plant in a grid, harvest matching plants together and automatically replant when you have supplies, including crops cut with the scythe. Replanting always puts back the crop you just harvested. Starts with a 2 x 2 grid. |
| Free Build Cam | Hold a hammer and press F6 to fly a camera around your build while your character stays put. Build, repair and demolish from up there; materials cost the same and demolished pieces drop their materials on the ground as usual. |
| AdvancedTerrainModifiers | Better terrain tools: a shovel for digging down, hoe and cultivator versions that keep the ground height, square versions that snap to the grid, and a precise raise tool. |
| DynamicExperienceGain | Adjusts enemy XP by enemy tier and star level. |
| FortifySkillsRedux | Builds protected skill progress to reduce the impact of death. You still drop your items normally. |
| ImpactfulSkills | Adds skill-based benefits to gathering, sailing, movement, combat, cooking, animals, hauling and crafting. Area mining starts at level 50; Rock Breaker starts at 25. |

| RecyclePlus | Inventory trash button and Delete key. Deletes items permanently, with no resource refund. |
| AutoDoors | Closes player-built doors after everyone stays 8 m away for 4 seconds. Returning nearby resets the timer; open doors manually. |
| AutoMapTables | Records discoveries at cartography tables. Use Read map to copy pins to your personal map; your own pins are kept. |
| SuperWishbone | Extends wishbone detection to dungeons and boss-location stones. |
| TameAssist | Command supported tames to follow or stay; followers can follow through portals and into dungeons. |
| LetItFloat | Floating containers can hold recovered sinking loot. Recovery is not guaranteed. |
| Configuration Manager | Press F1 to see every mod's settings in one window and change your own display or control preferences. A greyed-out setting is controlled by the server; only thas can change it. Settings the pack sets for everyone go back to the pack value the next time you open Wodigurong. The F5 command console stays off for players. |
Skill fortification: permanent progress
Train the skill you want to fortify. Sword training builds fortified Swords; running builds fortified Running. Standing around alive does not earn fortification.
Each skill has two levels. Your active level determines its current strength. Your fortified level, shown in parentheses beside it, is the permanent level you return to on death.
For example, Swords 40 (32) means you currently have level 40 Swords, with level 32 protected. Death resets Swords to 32. Further deaths cannot push it below that protected level. A single death can cost more than the usual vanilla 5%, but repeated deaths cannot keep eroding your permanent progress.
How fortification earns XP
Every action that earns skill XP also contributes to that skill's separate fortified XP bar. The contribution depends on the gap between active and fortified levels. Our fortification settings add 10 percentage points per level of gap, capped at 80% of base skill XP.
| Active level above fortified level | Fortified XP per 10 base skill XP |
|---|---|
| 0 levels | 0 |
| 1 level | 1 |
| 2 levels | 2 |
| 5 levels | 5 |
| 8 or more levels | 8 |
Example: Swords 40 (35). The five-level gap means every 10 base sword XP also adds 5 fortified sword XP. Once enough has accumulated, fortified Swords rises to 36. If active Swords is still 40, the gap is now four levels, so the contribution falls to 4 fortified XP per 10 base XP.
This is an XP percentage, not a promise that eight of every ten skill levels are protected. Higher fortified levels require more XP. Fractional level gaps also count, even when the displayed levels look the same.
Why it can seem stuck after death
Immediately after death, your active and fortified levels are equal. Fortified XP therefore starts at zero. Keep using the skill: as your active level pulls ahead, fortification begins earning XP again and speeds up with the gap. It does not grow just because time passes, and training one skill does not directly fortify every other skill.
What to do: keep using the skills you care about and stay alive while training. Watch the number in parentheses rise as permanent progress accumulates.
Exact calculation
Fortified XP earned = base skill XP x min(max(active level - fortified level, 0) x 0.1, 0.8)
At fortified level F, the next level requires 0.5 x (F + 1)^1.5 + 0.5 fortified XP. Reaching that threshold raises the fortified level by one and clears its XP bar; excess XP from that action is not carried over. FortifySkillsRedux calculates this before applying its own active-XP multiplier, so use base XP rather than your final boosted XP when reading the examples.

Boss powers: how to unlock each stage
Pick powers at the boss trophy stones, then earn credited boss kills to unlock their benefits. Your powers are always active. You do not press the normal power button, wait for a cooldown, or reactivate them every few minutes.
You can hold every boss power at once: use each boss's trophy stone to add its power. Using the stone of a power you already hold takes it off again. Your recorded kills are never spent or erased, and every kill counts toward every power's requirements.
Who gets kill credit?
Be within 200 m of the boss when it dies. Credit is recorded for your character; it does not require the final hit. Another player's kill while you are back at a distant base does not count for you. Read a power's trophy stone to see which stages you have and what each locked stage still needs.
Each stage unlocks on its own
Every power has seven stages, one benefit each (the power summary below lists them in order). A stage switches on as soon as its own requirement is met, even if an earlier stage is still locked. The number shown for a power, for example 2/7 on its trophy stone, is how many stages you have. (The on-screen power icons are hidden since 20260930.2.)
Counts are total credited kills of that boss, not extra kills for that stage. The pattern: a power's own boss unlocks its first stages (the Elder's first two, Bonemass's first three, and so on through Fader's seven), and each later stage needs one kill of a later boss.
| Power | Stage 1 | Stage 2 | Stage 3 | Stage 4 | Stage 5 | Stage 6 | Stage 7 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Eikthyr | Eikthyr 1 | Elder 1 | Bonemass 1 | Moder 1 | Yagluth 1 | Queen 1 | Fader 1 |
| The Elder | Elder 1 | Elder 2 | Bonemass 1 | Moder 1 | Yagluth 1 | Queen 1 | Fader 1 |
| Bonemass | Bonemass 1 | Bonemass 2 | Bonemass 3 | Moder 1 | Yagluth 1 | Queen 1 | Fader 1 |
| Moder | Moder 1 | Moder 2 | Moder 3 | Moder 4 | Yagluth 1 | Queen 1 | Fader 1 |
| Yagluth | Yagluth 1 | Yagluth 2 | Yagluth 3 | Yagluth 4 | Yagluth 5 | Queen 1 | Fader 1 |
| The Queen | Queen 1 | Queen 2 | Queen 3 | Queen 4 | Queen 5 | Queen 6 | Fader 1 |
| Fader | Fader 1 | Fader 2 | Fader 3 | Fader 4 | Fader 5 | Fader 6 | Fader 7 |
Example: the Elder. One Elder kill and one Bonemass kill give the Elder power's stage 1 (health regeneration +15%) and stage 3 (pickaxe damage +30%) straight away. Stage 2 (chopping damage +30%) turns on with your second Elder kill.
Example: Moder. Three Moder kills plus Yagluth give Moder stages 1, 2, 3 and 5. Stage 4 (carry weight +150) waits for a fourth Moder kill.
When a credited kill switches on new stages (for any power, held or not), a message in the middle of the screen lists them.
What to do: join the boss fight, stay nearby for its death, then hover the power to see what its locked stages still need.
Mining: critical hits, Rock Breaker and area hits
Train Pickaxes by mining. Three separate bonuses change what a strike can do. These examples assume your effective Pickaxes level matches the displayed level; temporary skill bonuses can affect skill-scaled results.
| Effect | Starts at | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Critical hit | Pickaxes 25 | A 10% chance for triple pickaxe damage on an eligible strike. |
| Rock Breaker | Pickaxes 25 | A skill-scaled chance to damage the whole supported vein. |
| Area mining | Pickaxes 50 | A strike can also hit nearby mineable parts around the impact point. |
Rock Breaker is a roll on each eligible hit
| Pickaxes level | Rock Breaker chance per eligible hit | Area-mining radius |
|---|---|---|
| 25 | 2.5% | Not unlocked |
| 50 | 5% | 1 m |
| 75 | 7.5% | 1.5 m |
| 100 | 10% | 2 m |
Example: Pickaxes 50. An eligible strike has a 5% Rock Breaker chance. That does not guarantee one activation every 20 hits; each roll is separate. Its configured 300 pickaxe damage can weaken a tough vein without destroying every part.
Area mining affects a small area around where you hit, rather than the entire vein. With our settings, its random chance gate passes once it unlocks at 50, but it still needs valid nearby mineable parts and cannot start another area strike while one is already being processed. No nearby valid parts means no visible extra damage.
Both area mining and Rock Breaker are enabled without a toggle key. Leviathans have special protection. What to do: keep mining normally; at level 50+, aim near clusters of adjoining parts to make use of the extra reach.
Skill catch-up: Knowledge Sharing
A high skill helps you train your own lower skills. It does not distribute another player's XP, and it does not level unused skills automatically. You still perform the action that trains the lower skill.
The bonus stops when the skill being trained gets within five levels of your highest skill.
| Your highest skill | Lower skill being trained | Catch-up bonus? |
|---|---|---|
| 50 | 20 | Yes |
| 50 | 44 | Yes |
| 50 | 45 | No: within five levels |
| 50 | 50 | No |
| 60 | 45 | Yes: your higher benchmark reopens the gap |
Example: your best skill is Running 50 and you switch from swords to a level-20 axe skill. Using axes receives catch-up help until Axes reaches 45, assuming Running remains your highest skill at 50. Running laps does not directly award axe XP.
The amount depends on how high your best skill is, rather than growing continuously with the gap. With the same highest skill, two eligible lower skills receive the same additive bonus to the incoming action factor. It is not a universal 1.5x XP multiplier.
For a simple example with no effective-skill modifiers: a highest level of 50 gives an additive factor of 1.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 = 0.375. An action that arrives with factor 1 becomes 1.375 before other XP adjustments. Different actions and other bonuses can produce a different final percentage.
What to do: train a neglected skill when you want to diversify. As your best skill improves, it can help lower skills catch up further. Fortification remains a separate system with its own progress bar.
Skill calculator: what each level gives you
Pick a skill and a level to see exactly what you get. Every bonus grows a little with each level, not just at 25, 50, 75 and 100. Greyed-out lines show what unlocks later and at which level. Each line says whether it comes from the base game or from the ImpactfulSkills mod, using our server's settings.
Cooking: train in batches and keep food useful
Cook several foods in one session to build a Cooking XP streak. Crafting food at a cauldron and collecting cooked food from a cooking station or oven count. A multi-item recipe counts its food items individually.
How the streak grows
| Food number in the streak | Streak bonus to that food's cooking XP |
|---|---|
| 1st | None |
| 2nd | +10% |
| 6th | +50% |
| 11th and later | +100% |
These are streak bonuses, before other XP adjustments. A gap of more than two minutes without cooking resets the streak. Fetching ingredients or making a non-food item does not break it by itself, provided you cook again in time. Putting raw food on a station does not count as collecting cooked food.
Example: cook ten foods, then cook another before the timeout. That eleventh food receives double its ordinary Cooking XP from the streak. Leave cooking for more than two minutes and the next food starts a fresh streak.
Bonus food is a separate reward
From Cooking 10, eligible food crafting can produce extra items. The chance per roll is 40% x effective Cooking level / 100: 4% at level 10, 20% at 50 and 40% at 100. These examples assume no effective-skill modifiers.
Each successful roll adds one extra food and allows another roll, up to three extras. The first failed roll ends the sequence. At Cooking 50, that means a 20% chance of at least one extra, 4% of at least two, and 0.8% of all three. It is not three guaranteed items or three independent rolls that always happen. The cooking streak changes XP, not these chances.
Eating helps too
Eating successfully gives a small amount of Cooking XP based on the food's health, stamina and eitr values. Higher Cooking also keeps an eaten food's benefits stronger for more of its duration. The food still expires; this is not protection against leaving meat on a fire until it becomes coal.
What to do: bring ingredients for a batch, collect cooked food promptly, and keep cooking within the two-minute window. Train your own Cooking to improve the food benefits you receive.
Chest automation: choose the action you need
Keep one sample of each material in its intended chest. Several systems use existing contents to recognize a matching destination. They handle different actions and have different ranges.
| What you want | What to do | Range and condition |
|---|---|---|
| Route one carried stack | Open a chest and Ctrl-click the stack | SmarterContainers searches nearby matching chests within its 30 m range. |
| Deposit matching carried items together | Use the Wave emote near storage | AutoStore uses its nearby matching-container rules; quick slots are protected. |
| Collect items dropped on the ground | Leave matching samples in chests and step away | AutoStore searches within 64 m of the dropped item; every player must be at least 4 m away from that item. |
| Automatically supply a kiln or smelter | Put usable inputs in a nearby chest and close it | Chest within 4 m of the processor; players may stand nearby. One fuel/ore item is reserved. |
| Craft or build using stored materials | Work near stocked chests | Your separate chest-crafting system reaches 50 m and leaves one item behind. |
A busy chest does not mean your stack is lost
When Ctrl-click selects a matching destination that is temporarily busy, the stack stays in your inventory and retries for up to five seconds while the same chest remains open. Closing that chest, changing the stack or timing out stops the retry. If it is still in your inventory, give the chest a moment and try again. If the chest you opened already contains that material, intentional stacking there takes priority.
These tools do not continuously reorganize items already sitting inside arbitrary chests. A chest full of misplaced wood will not sweep itself into the wood chest merely because one exists nearby.
Example: automatically refill a smelter
Put a supply chest within 4 m of the smelter, add a stack of coal and suitable ore, then close the chest. You can stay beside the smelter. Automatic feeding can draw inputs while leaving one of each behind. It does not increase smelting speed or capacity.
To collect output, put one sample of the resulting metal in an output chest within 64 m of the dropped output. Leave room for more, and keep everyone at least 4 m from the dropped items. AutoStore can then collect matching output. The pickup and processor distances are measured from different objects.
If nothing moves
- Check that the destination contains a matching sample and has room.
- For dropped items, move everyone at least 4 m away from the item. For processor feeding, close the supply chest; you can stay beside the processor.
- Check the relevant range. A chest 20 m away can work for crafting but is too far for automatic smelter feeding.
- Leave more than one usable input in a supply chest; the last item is reserved.
- AutoStore avoids collecting suitable tame food when tames are nearby, so animal feed left outside can be intentionally ignored.
Explanation sources
Examples above use our server settings checked on 11 September 2026, the packaged mod code, and the ProgressivePowers and ImpactfulSkills author documentation. Server settings and our private fixes can differ from a mod's public defaults. Numerical examples isolate the named effect; they are not measurements of every overlapping bonus in a live fight.
How the mods change the game
This is the gameplay summary for our current pack, 20260929.2. Bonuses described as skill-based grow as you level that skill; unlock levels are the point where an effect starts. These are the configured effects, and some combinations are still being checked during normal play.
Inventory, supplies and death
- More inventory space: 18 additional slots: four equipment, two utility, three food, two ammo, five quick slots and two general slots. Z/X/C/9/0 use the quick slots; in the extra-slot panel, 9 and 0 sit on their own row under Z and X, and a small bar on screen shows what's in each quick slot. Stack All protects these special slots from being deposited. Food in the dedicated food slots is eaten automatically when 10% of its duration remains. Each automatic bite starts a random 30-60 second wait before another automatic bite, including filling an empty buff. Manual eating remains available during this wait.
- Use nearby supplies: crafting, building, smelters, kilns, fires, ovens, fermenters, shield generators and ballistas can draw materials from chests, barrels and parked carts within 50 m, leaving one of each item behind. A chest another player has open is skipped until they close it. Private chests are never used. Meat racks, the iron cooking station and the frost foundry don't pull from chests. Hold Left Shift while you use a smelter, kiln or fire to put in everything it can take at once. Left Alt + O toggles chest use; the setting sticks to your character and a small icon shows while it's off.
- Automatic repairs: opening a suitable crafting station repairs the items it can normally repair.
- Longer-lasting fuel: fires get 5x fuel duration, and handheld torches and mist torches get 5x durability. Fires still need fuel.
- Less painful recovery: FortifySkills builds protected skill progress as you train, reducing skill loss on death. You still drop your items. Respawning gives at least 10 minutes of Rested, and a screen-edge compass points toward your grave until you are within 10 m. Food is not restored and your grave is not pulled to you.
- Easier comfort: furniture, rugs, fires and the rest now count towards comfort from up to 30 m away (the normal game stops at 10 m), and you no longer need a roof over your head for them to count. You still have to sit down or stand by a fire to start resting, and how long Rested lasts per comfort level is exactly as in the normal game. A list on the left of the screen shows what is giving you comfort right now in white and, in red, things you know how to build that would add more. The list starts hidden: press F4 to show it and again to hide it. It starts hidden again the next time you start the game. If you log out while Rested, the time you had left is still there when you come back. The Maypole, Yule tree and Jack-o-turnip can be built from the hammer menu all year round.
- Inventory safeguards: the extra-slot mod keeps character and slot backups for recovery if something goes wrong.
- Pickup and loot: personal pickup reaches 4 m. Ordinary creature ragdolls disappear and drop their loot after a random 0-0.5 seconds; special death animations still play.
Storage, labels and automatic supplies
- Deposit into matching chests: open a chest and Ctrl-click an item in your inventory. SmarterContainers can route it to another matching chest within 30 m. When a matching destination is temporarily busy, the stack stays in your inventory and retries for up to five seconds while the same chest remains open. If no eligible matching destination is found, normal deposit behavior applies. Items already sitting in chests are not swept automatically.
- Label your chests: wood, reinforced and blackmetal chests get a sign automatically on their front face only; you do not need to build a separate sign. Use the sign to edit its text. The default bullet • displays live contents, showing up to three entries plus an Other summary. Current labels use item names, not item-image icons.
- Choose where things go: put one of an item in a chest to make it a destination for matching dropped items. AutoStore searches within 64 m of the dropped item and waits until every player is at least 4 m away. Full chests leave overflow outside. Ordinary items placed inside one chest are not automatically transferred to another chest.
- Deposit what you carry: use the Wave emote near your storage to put matching inventory items into chests. Quick slots stay protected. Chests also sort automatically.
- Feed your production: put fuel and ore in a closed chest within 4 m of the kiln, smelter or blast furnace. Players can stand nearby; automatic feeding leaves one fuel/ore item behind. Processing speed and capacity stay normal. This is separate from your 50 m crafting-from-chests range. Carts count as chests here: don't park a loaded cart right next to a kiln or smelter, or the server will take fuel and ore out of it.
- Food barrels: barrels and baskets that each hold one kind of food or seed, up to 12 stacks. Find them in the build menu by typing "barrel" or "basket" in the search box. Anything that isn't the barrel's food is refused. Dropped food of the same kind gets put away into a barrel that already holds it, and crafting from nearby chests can use what's inside.
- Feed your animals: put suitable food in a container within 10 m. Animals must be able to approach within 2 m, and breeding conditions must allow feeding. Mixed-item chests are allowed. AutoStore avoids scooping up tame food when tames are nearby.
- Delete unwanted items: pick up an inventory stack with the mouse, then click Trash or press Delete. Split the stack first to delete only part. Deleted items are gone permanently; nothing is refunded.
Exploration and companions
- Doors: open them manually. Doors close after everyone stays at least 8 m away for 4 seconds. Returning within 8 m cancels the countdown; leaving again starts a fresh 4-second timer.
- Cartography tables: exploring records discoveries for the table, not immediately on your personal map. Return to a table and use Read map to pick up recorded portals, ships, dungeons and ore deposits. Your own pins are kept. Portal labels can remain blank or stale after renaming.
- Wishbone: equip it to detect nearby dungeons and boss-location stones as well as its normal targets, with a configured 64 m detection range. It works in an NVLB utility slot.
- Tame followers: supported tames can follow or stay and follow you through portals or into dungeons. Taming, growth and feeding-duration multipliers remain normal.
- Floating loot: look for floating recovery containers when items sink. Some loot may be lost; do not rely on recovering everything. If contents look stale, leaving the area and returning may refresh them.
Getting discovered locations onto your map
- Explore and discover locations. For ore deposits, strike the deposit with a pickaxe; simply walking past it is not enough. Nearby players within 32 m can receive that ore discovery.
- Return within 64 m of a cartography table so your recorded discoveries can transfer to it.
- Use the table's Read map interaction to put those pins on your personal map. Repeat after later exploration to collect new discoveries.
Entering a crypt or mining copper does not instantly place a pin on your personal map. Reading the table is the step that makes the recorded pins visible there.
Building and crafting
- Larger station coverage: workbench, stonecutter, forge and black-forge reach increases with station upgrades and world boss progress, up to 60 m. The area where monsters can't spawn now grows with it, so a big base keeps night spawns out to the same distance you can build. This is separate from the 50 m chest range.
- Blueprints: PlanBuild lets you save and share designs, place ghost plans and use Plan Totems to build supplied plans. Blueprint placement and totems reach 50 m. Normal players still supply materials and must know the pieces; terrain tools are available. Using a plan piece now takes its materials from nearby chests too. Plan Totems still build only from what you put inside them.
- Free-flying build camera: hold a hammer (or another building tool) and press F6. The camera lifts off and your character stays where it is. Move with W A S D, go up with Space (jump) and down with crouch, look around with the mouse, and hold Run to fly faster. Place, repair and demolish as normal, up to 50 m from your character. F7 puts the view back to where it started, and F6 again (or Escape) drops you back into your body. You leave the camera automatically if you take damage. Everything costs the normal materials, and demolished pieces drop their materials on the ground like they always do, so AutoStore can tidy them up.
- Repair a whole area at once: with the hammer's Repair tool selected, click a damaged piece as usual (or just click while standing near the damage). Every damaged piece within 15 m is repaired, starting with the closest. Each piece still costs the hammer's usual bit of stamina and wear, so after a troll visit it can take a few swings: when the message says fewer pieces than you expected, let your stamina come back and swing again.
- Crafty carts: six carts that are also crafting stations: workbench, forge, cauldron, stonecutter, artisan table and black forge. Each has 40 slots of storage (8 x 5). Search "cart" in the build menu. Each costs its normal materials plus 10 bronze nails, and you get everything back if you take it apart. Only you can pull a crafty cart; animals can't. Craft and repair at it while it's parked.
- If we ever remove barrels or crafty carts, you'll be asked to empty and break them first, so nothing is lost.
- Crafting menu (AAA Crafting): recipes are a grid of icons with a search box, filter buttons and favourite stars. Search
!copperto list every recipe that uses copper. The ? button replays the tour. - Crafting several at once: type how many you want in the box above Craft (up to 100), or use + and - (hold Shift for 10 at a time), then press Craft or Enter. Items are made one after another at the normal speed and cost. The batch sticks to the recipe you started it on, so you can browse other recipes while it runs; it stops on its own when the materials run out, and Cancel stops it early. Upgrading does one level per click.
- Recipe tracker: hover a recipe icon and click + to pin its materials to the side of your screen; Ctrl-click removes it. Left Shift + Page Up hides or shows the tracker.
- Shift for 5 and
sortcraftare off while the AAA menu is installed: it replaces the game's own batch crafting and recipe sorting. - Crafting from nearby chests now comes from AzuCraftyBoxes instead of NoVikingLeftBehind. Same 50 m range, same one-item-left rule, same Left Alt + O toggle. Your slots, quick slots and everything else from NoVikingLeftBehind are unchanged.
- The blast furnace smelts everything: as well as black metal scrap, flametal and gold ore, it now takes copper ore, tin ore, iron ore, iron scrap, silver ore, copper scrap and bronze scrap. Same coal, same speed as a smelter (30 seconds and 2 coal per bar), so once you can build a blast furnace you don't need a separate smelter. If you keep both and a supply chest sits within 4 m of each, the chest feeds both and the ore is shared between them.
- Crafting skill bonuses: from level 25, a skill-scaled chance to avoid durability loss; from 50, chances for bonus crafted items; from 75, chances to get some materials back. Crafted equipment can preserve ingredient quality. These are conditional bonuses, not a discount on every recipe.
- Fish quality matters: higher-quality fish can increase food and fish-based mead output. Cooking bonuses can apply as well.
Better terrain tools
- Shovel: craft it at the forge for 5 wood and 2 iron. It digs the ground down, the opposite of the hoe's raise tool.
- Keep the height: the hoe and cultivator get versions of their tools that only change the surface (path, paving, cultivated soil) and leave the ground height alone.
- Square tools: square versions snap to the world grid, so edges come out clean for floors and fields. Their size is fixed.
- Precise raise and reset: the hoe can raise ground by an exact amount (scroll to set it) and can reset terrain you changed back to how it was.
- Resize and soften: hold Left Alt and scroll to make a round tool bigger or smaller, up to 10. Hold Left Ctrl and scroll to make its edge sharper or softer. Left Alt is also your dodge key, but dodging only happens when you are moving, so holding it to resize a tool while standing still will not make you dodge.
Farming, food and animals
- Plant more things: berry bushes, mushrooms, flowers, trees and decorative flora become plantable. Biome restrictions are removed for supported plants, but shelter from harsh conditions, valid placement and growing space still matter. Ordinary crops still need cultivated ground.
- Repeat harvests: berry bushes, mushrooms and harvestable flowers regrow their pickables every 60 minutes. Ordinary crop growth is unchanged; tree saplings retain their normal configured growth times. Base planting costs and harvest quantities are unchanged.
- Grid planting and bulk harvesting: start with a 2 x 2 grid, resize it with Right Ctrl + arrows, and use Left Shift + Use to harvest matching plants within 3 m. Automatic replanting starts enabled and needs supplies; F11 toggles it (it used to be F6, which is now the build camera). It always replants the crop you just harvested, so an onion goes back as an onion (costing one onion seed), whatever you last picked on the cultivator. Crops cut with the scythe are replanted the same way. Chest-backed replanting is not confirmed, so carry planting materials.
- Gathering rewards: Farming adds bonus-drop opportunities, with gathering luck milestones at 50, 70 and 90. PlantEasily handles the grid and bulk harvest controls.
- Cooking rewards: higher Cooking slows the decline of food benefits over time. Bonus food becomes possible at level 10. Cooking consecutive foods builds an XP streak that expires after two minutes without cooking, and eating food also earns Cooking XP.
- Animals can pull carts: a tamed boar, wolf, lox, hen, asksvin or moose that is following you can be hitched to a normal cart (not a crafty cart). Walk the animal up to the cart handles and press E on the handles. While an animal pulls a cart, other players can't open that cart.
- Animal Handling: higher skill speeds taming (within 100 m of the animal) and improves tamed-animal loot (killed within 100 m). Taming, breeding within 100 m and collecting honey award XP. Beehives can work across biomes; increased honey output starts at level 15.
Skills, gathering and travel
- Experience: enemy tier and stars affect combat XP through DynamicExperienceGain. The systems below add action-specific and catch-up rewards; their examples describe each effect separately rather than promising one combined XP multiplier. Knowledge Sharing helps your own lower skills catch up until they are within five levels of your highest skill; it does not share XP between players.
- Woodcutting: higher skill increases chopping damage and wood yields.
- Mining: higher skill increases mining damage and yields. Critical mining hits and Rock Breaker unlock at 25. Rock Breaker can damage a whole vein, with a chance rising from 2.5% per eligible hit at 25 to 10% at 100; tough veins may only be weakened. Area mining unlocks at 50, reaching roughly 1 m at that level and 2 m at 100. Both effects stay on, with no toggle key; Leviathans are protected from Rock Breaker.
- Running and jumping: Running adds movement speed. Jump height improves from level 10, fall-damage reduction starts at 15, and extra safe fall height starts at 25. Falling can still kill you.
- Swimming: speed bonuses start at 25, with reduced swim stamina cost from 50. UseEquipmentInWater also lets you use equipment and tools while swimming.
- Forging: crafting and upgrading gear at a station and refining with an idol train Forging. It improves your refining odds at the Forge of Potential, makes the workbench and forge count one level higher from 25 (black forge and magic table from 50), and from 75 your crafted gear is masterwork (+10% damage, armor or block power). From 90 it is also lightweight (10% of the weight, half the movement penalty).
- Hauling: moving loaded carts and walking with at least 275 weight train Hauling. Higher skill adds carry capacity, up to +50, and reduces cart mass, up to 80%.
- Sailing: Voyager improves sailing force and map exploration. Paddling bonuses start at 25, nearby crew can help rowing, and boat damage reduction starts at 35. At 50, the sailing wind-angle penalty is removed. From 75, the ship you're aboard takes no damage from bumping into things.
- Portals: world boss progress gradually lets older-tier restricted materials through portals. This is progression-based, not permission to teleport every metal immediately. QuickTeleport cuts the loading screen for portals and dungeon doors down to a second or two. It waits for the place you are going to finish loading before it lets you move, so you land on solid ground. Ore and scrap follow the same rule as the metal they smelt into: once boss progress lets a metal through, its ore and scrap go through too.
Combat and mounts
- Dodge and shields: Left Alt dodges; block + jump also works. Equipping a one-handed weapon can equip your most recently used shield. Blocking follows your look direction, and tower shields get more reliable blocking plus a block-charge mechanic, configured for five blocks on each supported tower shield.
- Knockback: blocking knockback is removed; normal melee and area/ranged knockback are reduced. Special attack exceptions still apply.
- Weapon skills: higher skill reduces attack and bow-draw stamina costs, adds parry XP rewards and speeds equipping from level 45.
- Blocking skill: stronger blocks start at 25, stamina recovery on blocks at 40, and successful parries can restore stamina. A perfect parry gives 5x the Blocking XP of a normal block.
- Dodge skill: Dodge XP comes 10x as fast as normal.
- Sneaking: skill improves sneaking speed; bonus backstab damage starts at 25, with reduced noise from 50.
- Blood Magic: damage absorbed by your magic shield awards additional skill XP.
- Bows and spears: bows retain the selected vanilla-like damage, draw and movement settings; drawing while jumping is allowed, drawing while dodging is not. Thrown spears get owner-pickup protection and automatic next-spear equip, except the abyssal harpoon. A thrown spear still on the ground 30 seconds later comes back to your feet, and one that vanishes in flight drops at your feet at once.
- Mounted combat: attack and jump while mounted. Space jumps; Direction + E rolls off; hold E while stationary to dismount. Mounted primary/secondary attacks use 10/25 stamina.
- Aura: weak monsters leave you alone once your armor makes their hits tiny (less than 1% of your health). Better armor means more monsters ignore you; stronger monsters still attack. Blobs never attack at all.
- Combat feedback: softer hit flashes, hidden zero-damage numbers and your own damage numbers. Furniture-punch protection helps prevent accidental attacks while interacting with furniture.
Boss powers are permanent passives
Pick powers at the boss trophy stones; you can hold all of them at once. Their unlocked benefits stay active without pressing the normal power button. Each power has seven stages, based on boss kills credited to your character; be within 200 m to receive kill credit. Each stage switches on as soon as its own kills are met, even if an earlier one is still locked. The power display shows what is still locked.
The benefits below are listed in stage order. You do not receive all seven when you first select a power. Percentages are that power's settings, not a promise that overlapping skill bonuses add together.
| Power | Benefits as you unlock its seven stages |
|---|---|
| Eikthyr | Running stamina -30%; jumping stamina -30%; swimming stamina -30%; movement speed +3%; stamina regeneration +15%; fall damage -35%; dodge stamina -25%. |
| The Elder | Health regeneration +15%; chopping damage +30%; pickaxe damage +30%; carry weight +75; effective Woodcutting +12; effective Pickaxes +12; an extra regeneration tick. |
| Bonemass | Slight blunt resistance; slight slash resistance; slight pierce resistance; block stamina -50%; poison resistance; armor +6; stagger taken -25%. |
| Moder | Frost resistance; cold immunity; sailing tailwind; carry weight +150; movement speed +5%; a 25% wind-at-your-back bonus; swim speed +25%. |
| Yagluth | Lightning resistance; melee damage +5%; effective Farming +12; elemental damage +5%; skill gain +15%; armor +10%; all damage +5%. |
| The Queen | Poison resistance; sneak stamina -50%; eitr regeneration +50%; stealth +25%; noise -25%; effective Elemental Magic +12; effective Blood Magic +12. |
| Fader | Fire resistance; adrenaline gain +50%; stagger taken -25%; attack stamina -20%; armor +8; timed-block bonus +50%; health regeneration +20%. |
For example, Eikthyr gains one stage as you defeat each boss in order through Fader. Fader's own power instead needs one through seven Fader kills. The other powers start with repeat kills of their own boss, then one kill of each later boss; the full table is in [Boss powers](#boss-powers-how-to-unlock-each-stage).
Achievements and compatibility
Steam achievements remain available with mods installed and when cheats were used. Old cheated-item flags clear when items load, so those stacks can merge normally. Secret achievements stay hidden. The launcher keeps everyone's pack aligned and skips the startup movie. Supporting libraries and our private compatibility repairs help these mods run on the current game version; they do not add another set of gameplay rules.
When Wodigurong stops
These messages come from launcher 1.0.2. On the older launcher, a "Select your Steam Valheim folder" window almost always means Valheim needs a Steam update: press Update on Valheim in Steam, then reopen Wodigurong.
Every message ends with a code, like Code: valheim-outdated. Find it below. If you close a message
without fixing anything, the launcher window keeps a one-line reminder of what stopped it - fix that,
then click Play. If it isn't here, or the message says something went wrong on Danny's side, click Copy details, paste that into Discord and
tag thas.
Steam
steam-not-running- Steam is closed. Open it, sign in, click Retry.steam-signed-out- Steam is open but not signed in. Sign in to the account that owns Valheim,
then Retry.
steam-other-session- Steam is running as another Windows user or as administrator. Right-click
the Steam icon by the clock, Exit, then open Steam again with a normal double-click. Retry.
launcher-elevated- Wodigurong can't see Steam, and it's running as administrator, which is the
usual reason. Close it, open it again from Start > Wodigurong with a normal double-click, and make
sure Steam is open and signed in.
steam-not-registered- Windows can't see where Steam is installed. Open Steam once and click
Retry. If Steam is definitely open, use Choose folder and pick your Valheim folder yourself.
Finding Valheim
Whenever you're asked to pick a folder, pick the one with valheim.exe in it - normally
...\steamapps\common\Valheim.
valheim-not-found- No Valheim in any of your Steam libraries. Use Choose folder.valheim-multiple-installs- You have more than one copy. Use Choose folder and pick the one you
play.
valheim-folder-invalid- The folder you picked isn't a Steam copy of Valheim. Try again.
Valheim's version
valheim-updating- Valheim has a Steam update waiting or in progress. Open Steam > Library >
Valheim and press the blue Update button; if it's already downloading, watch Steam > Downloads
until it finishes. Then Retry. Steam often just sits there with the update queued, because Wodigurong
starts the game directly and Steam never gets a launch to trigger it.
valheim-outdated- Your Valheim is older than the modpack needs. Open Valheim in your Steam
Library and press the blue Update button; if there's no Update button, restart Steam and look
again. When it finishes, Retry. Wodigurong starts the game directly, so Steam doesn't update it for
you.
valheim-beta-branch- Your Valheim is on a Steam beta branch. Steam > Library > right-click
Valheim > Properties > Betas, set Beta Participation to None, let it download (press the blue
Update button if it doesn't start on its own), then Retry.
valheim-newer-than-pack- Valheim patched before the modpack caught up. Nothing to fix. Ping
thas; it's usually a few hours.
Password and downloads
password-empty- No password was entered. Click Setup and type the one thas gave you.password-rejected- The password wasn't accepted. Check it and type it again; watch for a
trailing space if you pasted it.
password-stale- The saved password stopped working. Click Setup and enter the current one.no-connection- Can't reach the download site at all. Check you're online, turn off any VPN,
Retry.
connection-timeout- The download gave up waiting. Check your connection and Retry.secure-connection-failed- Windows couldn't make a secure connection. Check this PC's clock and
date are right, and turn off any VPN or antivirus web filtering, then Retry. Don't turn Defender off.
downloads-paused/site-error- The download site is having a moment. Nothing on your PC.
Try again in a few minutes.
launcher-retired/launcher-too-old- Your Wodigurong is too old to use the current
modpack. Get the current installer from https://valheim.thaifam.com and install it.
Your Valheim folder
unknown-mod-loader/unknown-loader-version- Another mod manager (r2modman, Thunderstore)
has its own loader in your Valheim folder, and Wodigurong won't overwrite someone else's files.
Remove the mods with that manager, or use Steam > Library > right-click Valheim > Properties >
Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files. Then click Setup.
legacy-bepinex-file- There's a *file* called BepInEx where a folder should be. Rename or delete
it, then click Setup.
loader-setup-needed- The mod loader isn't installed yet. Click Setup.linked-path- Your Valheim folder (or Wodigurong's own folder) sits behind a junction or symlink,
which Wodigurong won't follow. Send thas the code and the path from the message.
content-changed-locally- A mod file changed or went missing, usually antivirus. Click Repair.
Starting the game
game-running- Valheim is still open. Close it fully, then Retry.another-launcher-open- A second Wodigurong window is already working. Finish or close it, then
Retry.
game-exited-at-start- Valheim opened and closed again straight away. Click Repair and try Play.
If it still happens, click Roll back. If that doesn't help, Copy details and send them to thas.
settings-invalid- Wodigurong's saved setup is unreadable. Click Setup and enter the password
again; nothing else is lost.
rollback-game-version- The saved earlier version of the mods was built for a different Valheim
than the one Steam has now, so it can't be used any more. Nothing is broken. Click Play to use the
current version, or Repair if the current one is misbehaving.
no-previous-release- Nothing earlier to roll back to. Try Repair.nothing-to-repair- No mods installed yet. Click Setup.
Windows got in the way
disk-full- The drive in the message is out of space. Free up a few gigabytes, then Retry.access-denied- Windows blocked a file. Close Valheim and any mod manager, check whether your
antivirus quarantined something (tell thas what it named), then Retry. Don't add an antivirus
exclusion or turn protection off.
file-in-use- Something else is holding a game or mod file. Close Valheim, r2modman and
Thunderstore, then Retry.
env-override-conflict- This PC has leftover WODIGURONG settings in Windows. Send thas the code;
it's a two-minute fix.

| 23 Sep 2026 | 20260923.1 | Crafting from nearby chests now comes from AzuCraftyBoxes instead of NoVikingLeftBehind. Same 50 m range, one item left behind, Left Alt + O to toggle. New: hold Left Shift while using a smelter, kiln or fire to fill it from chests in one go, and using a PlanBuild plan piece takes materials from nearby chests. Close Valheim and start it again through Wodigurong to update; if joining says "Incompatible version", the launcher hasn't finished updating yet. |
| 22 Sep 2026 | 20260922.5 | The blast furnace now smelts every ore - copper, tin, iron, silver and the scraps as well as black metal and flametal, at the same speed and coal cost as a smelter, so you don't need a separate smelter any more. A workbench's no-monster-spawn area now matches its build range (up to 60 m) instead of staying at 20 m. Close Valheim and start it again through Wodigurong to update; if joining says "Incompatible version", the launcher hasn't finished updating yet. |
| 22 Sep 2026 | 20260922.4 | Quick slots on screen: what's in Z, X and C now shows next to the health bar, and 9 and 0 show right after hotbar slot 8. In the extra-slot panel, 9 and 0 moved to their own row under Z and X, so food and ammo are back where they were. The comfort list starts hidden; press F4 to show it. Close Valheim and reopen Wodigurong to update; nothing changes on the server. |
| 22 Sep 2026 | 20260922.3 | Updated the inventory and chest-crafting mod (NoVikingLeftBehind), on your PC and on the server. Extra bag rows bought from Haldor now work properly with the extra slots (before, the new row didn't show and items got shuffled). Pressing E on a smelter or kiln with the ore only in a nearby chest now puts the ore in instead of losing it. Auto-eat no longer presses whatever you're looking at. 9 and 0 are two new quick slots, filled from the extra-slot panel (so don't bind anything else to 9 or 0). The open-chest fix from 20260922.2 stays. Start the game through Wodigurong once to update; if joining says "Incompatible version", close the game and start it again from Wodigurong. |
| 22 Sep 2026 | 20260922.2 | Fix: crafting, building or feeding a fire, smelter or oven from nearby chests no longer takes items out of a chest another player has open. Before, the other player's view of that chest went out of date, so items they put in could vanish and items could be duplicated. Now that chest is simply skipped until they close it. Start the game through Wodigurong once to update. |
| 22 Sep 2026 | 20260922.1 | Four additions, on your PC and on the server. Food barrels: storage that holds one kind of food or seed each (search "barrel" or "basket" in the build menu). Crafty carts: six carts that are also crafting stations, 40 slots each, normal materials plus 10 bronze nails (search "cart"). Animals can pull carts: hitch a following tamed animal to a normal cart with E on the handles. Aura: weak monsters leave you alone once your armor makes their hits tiny; blobs never attack. Ore and scrap now follow their metal through portals. Start the game through Wodigurong once to update; if joining says "Incompatible version", close the game and start it again from Wodigurong. |
| 21 Sep 2026 | 20260921.1 | Three quality-of-life additions. Area repair: one hammer repair fixes everything damaged within 15 m. Easier comfort: furniture counts from 30 m, no roof needed, an on-screen list of what is giving comfort and what is missing (F4 hides it), Rested time survives logging out, and the Maypole, Yule tree and Jack-o-turnip are buildable. Faster portals and dungeon doors: the old private portal tweak is replaced by the author's new version. Close Valheim and reopen Wodigurong to update; nothing changes on the server and no new installer is needed. |
| 20 Sep 2026 | 20260920.1 | New free-flying build camera: hold a hammer and press F6, fly with W A S D, Space to go up and crouch to go down, F7 resets the view, F6 again to leave. The automatic-replanting toggle moved from F6 to F11. Close Valheim and reopen Wodigurong to update; no new installer. |
| 20 Sep 2026 | Launcher 1.0.2 | Optional new installer. Every launcher message now says what happened and how to fix it, with Retry where it helps, a code on every message and a Copy details button for Discord. It no longer asks for a folder when Valheim just needs a Steam update. Installs over 1.0.1; nothing else changes. See When Wodigurong stops above. |
| 18 Sep 2026 | 20260918.1 | Updated the server and mods for Valheim 1.0.15. Press Update on Valheim in Steam, close Valheim, then reopen Wodigurong; no new installer. |
| 17 Sep 2026 | 20260917.3 | Removed the AAA Crafting menu. The recipe search, filters, favourites, ingredient tracker, paged grid and the +/- amount box are all gone, and the crafting panel is the plain Valheim one again. In exchange, Valheim's own batch crafting works: hold Shift when you click Craft for five at once on a single timer (let go of Shift straight after the click). Sort the recipe list from the console with sortcraft name, type, weight or count. Crafting from nearby chests is unchanged. Close Valheim and reopen Wodigurong to update; no new installer. |
| 17 Sep 2026 | 20260917.2 | Moved three mod shortcuts back onto Left Alt: Left Alt + O toggles nearby-chest use, Left Alt is the PlanBuild third modifier again, and Left Alt + scroll resizes the hoe, cultivator or shovel. Left Alt still dodges, but only while you are moving, so these no longer need the awkward right-hand keys. Close Valheim and reopen Wodigurong to update; no new installer. |
| 17 Sep 2026 | 20260917.1 | Updated the server and mods for Valheim 1.0.14. Let Steam finish updating, set the Steam beta back to None if you changed it, close Valheim, then reopen Wodigurong. No new installer. |
| 16 Sep 2026 | 20260916.3 | Behind-the-scenes loader update. Nothing changes in game and you do not need to do anything. Close Valheim and reopen Wodigurong to update; no new installer. |
| 16 Sep 2026 | 20260916.2 | Better terrain tools (shovel, height-keeping and square hoe and cultivator tools; Right Alt + scroll resizes). Automatic replanting now always puts back the crop you harvested. Close Valheim and reopen Wodigurong to update; no new installer. |
| 16 Sep 2026 | 20260916.1 | Added Configuration Manager: press F1 in game to view mod settings. Server-controlled settings are locked, and pack-wide settings return to the pack value when you reopen Wodigurong. Close Valheim and reopen Wodigurong to update; no new installer. |
| 14 Sep 2026 | 20260914.1 | Fixed SmartContainers not sorting when another player is nearby. Ctrl-click routing now works for whoever clicks, as long as nobody has the target chest open. Close Valheim and reopen Wodigurong to update; no new installer. |
| 12 Sep 2026 | Native launcher 1.0.1 / 20260912.2 | One-time MSI replaces the legacy launcher shortcut. Mods/config continue updating automatically. Hook libraries regenerate from approved configuration. Automatic bites now wait 30-60 seconds; manual eating is unaffected. QuickTeleport applies only to world portals; dungeon entrances retain vanilla safety checks. |
| 11 Sep 2026 | Server: door timing | Doors close after everyone stays 8 m away for 4 seconds. Returning inside 8 m cancels the countdown; leaving starts a fresh timer. Opening remains manual. Already live; no client download. |
| 11 Sep 2026 | Server: automatic processing | Removed the player-distance requirement for feeding kilns and smelters. Supply chests still need to be closed and within 4 m; one input is reserved. AutoStore's separate dropped-item distance remains unchanged. Already live; no client download. |
| 11 Sep 2026 | Guide clarification | Explained cartography-table Read map, front-only automatic chest labels, and the separate ranges for routing, processing, crafting and dropped-item storage. |
| 11 Sep 2026 | 20260911.4 | SmarterContainers now searches 30 metres from your character. Close Valheim and reopen Wodigurong to update. |
| 11 Sep 2026 | 20260911.3 | Auto-eat now waits until 10% of food duration remains, instead of refreshing at half-time. Close Valheim and reopen Wodigurong to update. Manual eating is unchanged. |
| 11 Sep 2026 | 20260911.2 | Fixed rapid SmartContainers transfers. If a chest is briefly busy, your stack stays in your inventory and retries automatically while the chest stays open. Close Valheim and reopen Wodigurong to update. |
| 11 Sep 2026 | 20260911.1 | Updated the server and mods for Steam hotfix 1.0.12. Let Steam finish updating, close Valheim, then reopen Wodigurong. Your existing launcher downloads the matching mods automatically; no new EXE needed. |
| 10 Sep 2026 | Launcher 8 (retired) | Historical release: checked Steam sign-in and updated its own EXE. Replaced by the native MSI; do not reuse or restore the old EXE. |
| 10 Sep 2026 | 20260910.8 | Added SmarterContainers with our tested compatibility patch. Ctrl-click deposits can route to nearby matching chests. Close Valheim and reopen Wodigurong to update; no new EXE needed. |
| 10 Sep 2026 | 20260910.7 | Added container labels, automatic storage and processing, automatic doors, map-table discoveries, wishbone detection improvements, tame following, floating loot recovery, container-fed animals and inventory trash. Wave to deposit matching inventory items into nearby chests. Trash permanently deletes items with no refund. Relaunch Wodigurong to update; no new EXE needed. Floating loot recovery is not guaranteed, and portal labels may stay stale. |
| 10 Sep 2026 | 20260910.6 | Enabled auto-eat, doubled auto-pickup reach to 4 m, and shortened creature corpse disappearance/loot delay to a random 0-0.5 seconds. Relaunch Wodigurong to update. Special death animations still play. |
| 10 Sep 2026 | 20260910.5 | Fixed building, repair/removal, nearby-chest crafting, planting and grave recovery. Corrected server settings for plant growth. |
| 10 Sep 2026 | 20260910.4 | Repaired the hammer build menu failing to open on right-click. |
| 10 Sep 2026 | 20260910.3 | Repaired the crafting error that could leave Escape blocked. |
| 10 Sep 2026 | 20260910.2 | Repaired missing crafting ingredients and the disabled Craft button. |
| 10 Sep 2026 | 20260910.1 | Repaired attack compatibility and skipped the startup movie. |
| 10 Sep 2026 | Launcher | One download, automatic mod updates and old-mod backups. Valheim icon added. |
| 10 Sep 2026 | Windows download alert | Microsoft review is pending. Updated Defender definitions passed a local scan of the EXE; browser warnings may remain. |
